We're coming to the end of 2008, and before we know it, we'd be embarking on a whole new year 2009. As we approach 2009, I just wanna blog about the past year. When I made a faith statement at the end of 2007 that "2008 is gonna be the best year yet", it wasn't a joke or a passing statement. Cause 2008 really is the best year yet for me by far. (; thank God.

Sure 2008 was stressful in its own ways. It's my Olevel year. Sure 2008 had its own fair share of problems. Friendship, family, spiritual, relationships. Sure 2008 witnessed tears of sorrow. &sure 2008 saw me through heartaches and difficulties.
.
But more than that, 2008 marked new victories. It marked growth, maturity, new friendships, deeper relationships, more breakthroughs and the silent yet sure assurance that "everyth's gonna be alright come what may cause my God will save". It marked a deeper trust in God, and a new level in Him. A new understanding of who He really is.. 2008 is a great year indeed.

You know, I spent the last 45 mins or so typing thankyou paragraphs to the people who made 2008 a special one for me. Because I feel my 2008 would not be what it is without them. And it wouldn't be complete without thanking them. Or thanking God for them. But, there's just too many people to thank. And it's hard to type someth for every single one. Ugh. I wish I could type a paragraph each for all of you whom I love oh-so-deeply, but my post would be never-ending. But, really thank you all, from nanhua friends to n317 members, to RP friend, to my family, to all the other friends of mine. To every single one of you who played a part in my 2008. You guys really made a difference, and I wish to have you along with me in my 2009 :)

It's been a while since I've last posted. Mwaha, let me give you a crashcourse on what I've been up to! Or at least a fraction of what I've been up to..

Last Monday I was helping out the Children Society with Charis, Grace and Sumyue.
Check out children's society fund-raising mascot. Pretty cute, ain't it? But what's more interesting is.... GUESS WHO IS IN IT? GUESS WHO'S THE PERSON IN THE COSTUME? It's none other than.................................... YOURS TRULY!Ta-dah!! Heh! :P if you've ever wondered how it feels like being in a mascot, well besides the heat and the heavy head, IT'S STINKY. Like with all the evaporated sweat from the previous mascot-ers!

Now I'm gonna fast-forward my crashcourse to what happened during the weekends. I was supposed to donate blood on Saturday(yes, again). And once again, I failed. Cause, I had a terrible sore eye. Like, terrible. I felt kinda sad in fact. Cause I really looked like an alien :( Wanna catch a glimpse of how I look? Please don't shun from me when you see it.Ugh, uglyugly. It looks worse real life. And because of that sore eye, this was how I showed up in public......COOL MAN. People started making fun of me and calling me fake sun, rockstar, and whatever not. Haha.

I waited at the airport with the rest of the sun fans.. And the real Sun turned up. She's one amazing woman! Singapore's pride. Like, which other Singaporean made it to the grammys, american billboard charts etc? Which other Singaporean made it as Beijing Olympics Music Ambassador? :) She's my idol. I love sun!

Thursday was My Hope Christmas Party at Minghui's :DHan Sheng brought so many Jiang peeps. My gosh. Haha ;D this is us after the entire party kinda ended!

Christmas is coming! &what's a better way to celebrate it at my church's christmas candlelight services? Heh, it'll be a stunning sight I tell ya, when everyone holds a candle each and sing christmas carols with the lights in the hall all off (; it'll be a definitely-no-regret time if you come! &I hope you come. Yes, you. I want all of my friends to celebrate christmas and enjoy these great services and beautiful scenes with me (;

&of course, we'll be having yet another great drama production! "Operation Save The World"! This drama guarantees humour, excitement and a heartwarming story for a wonderful christmas season. In my opinion, City Harvest Drama Crew never fails us with the show they put up every christmas. And they never cease to amaze us with their fresh plots every year. It's probably the same message they wanna portray every year, but you can trust me that you never get tired or bored watching the different plays each year!

When Emily boasted about this show to me, I was probably like most of you reading this. "Eeyer, how nice can it get!" Don't think I don't know what you are thinking! :p but it's really good! Heh, as Emily said, it's funny initially, but it gets more emotional towards the end. &recently as I progress through the show, the more I'd think to myself "this is so sad" :/ and needless to say, I've shed quite a lot of tears. But it's really funny too! I laughed out loud a lot of times while watching it heh. I am so hooked onto this show I watched it til 7am this morning :X Blame Ng Poh Feng for all of this!

Yawnyawn, I'm getting a bit cranky now. Like a bit lost haha.

You know, there are people who often don't understand why I do the things I do. To some extent, they may even resent me, blame me, dislike me for doing some things. I can't promise that whatever I do; it is always right. But I'd at least say, I meant well. &probably, I have my reasons. Hm. Well when all is said and done, I only hope everything falls back into place, as it should be.

Oh, did I mention? The lead actor in My Girl is absolutely cute :D HEH. Another reason why I'd stay up til 7am for this show :p Ha ha ha. No lah........ :D

Oh yes! Something I forgot to add about The Day The Earth Stood Still is it's really good cause it's not just yet another shallow movie. This movie has a "moral of the story" kinda thing. As in, it has a meaning! Haha!

There was this part Keanu Reeves said someth like, 'Humans do change, when they face the brink of a crisis' (something like that! I can't remember the exact words, but the idea is there haha).
Isn't it true? &why do you think we face some of the problems we face? Why do you think the God whom we hear about/know allow some problems to surface in our lives sometimes?

Maybe it's just cause sometimes human beings only learn things the hard way.

Tuesday was Bolt with Bets. Didn't manage to meet Lester Chee in the end. (Lester's in army alreadyyyy! Ah all the best sexy Lester :D will miss your presence man!)

So, Bettie and I were set on catching a movie that night. We went to GV @ Marina Square after dinner. To my disappointment, there were only very few movies screening. But we're committed people(no link :X). &we still insisted on our movie.
We went to the counter and this was what happened.
Bettie: Is Body of Lies nice?
Movie guy 1: *gives weird face* not really.
Bettie: Okay then dont want. How about Quarantine?
Movie guy: *shakes head quite vigorously*
Gwen: Bolt?
Movie guy: *shows satisfactory look* Funny!
Bettie: Very funny?
Movie guy: Yah not bad, with all the cartoons.............................
Bettie: Okay give us 2 tickets for Bolt.The show was not bad. Made us laugh quite a fair bit (; not bad plot. Heh.

BUT, The Day The Earth Stood Still was EVEN BETTER. I watched it last night. It was really good.. The plot, the effects, the acting. It was good. I don't know how you guys would think about it, but I sure enjoyed it. &I encourage it. It's a deeper movie. Not Bolt-ish. If you're tired, you may fall asleep. But if you stay awake, I feel you'd love the movie :)

Finally finally, I watched a movie last night! Bolt. Haha. Well, it was the decentest movie playing in Marina Square.
It was not bad, pretty cute and funny heh.

I totally suffered at home today );
had the terrible-st stomach cramps
&ran a slight fever.
It was horrible I tell ya.
I was so weak I couldn't even walk properly!
& I felt so nauseous I couldn't bring myself to eat much at all (Yes, it's a miracle. Gwen not eating! Heh.)
It was just bad. While waiting for the car after I saw the doc, I couldn't even stand. Haha I had to squat by at the roadside >< color="#ffffff">.

So today was dad's office, CWP, dad's office, CWP. Wow! Haha I travelled to and fro Dad's office and CWP. I realized CWP is kind of a cool place, quite a lot of shops! Haha it just looks a tat run down.

&today must've been the fattest day of muh week. :( Breakfast, pizza hut, sakae buffet & I just had wafer biscuits at 2 am D;
But all these ain't really anyth to complain about actually. Other than the fact that all the food may/is gonna make me fat. But really, I'm prettaye glad! :D Heh, cause if you know me, you'd know jap & italian are my mostmostmost fave types of food! Sakae = Jap. Pizza hut = Italian(authentic or not). Haha, so yay! (okay, hush you guys whom I kept complaining to. I sincerely enjoyed my meals anyway!)

So yes, I had a most pleasant night with my most pleasant bestfriend, Emily Ng ;D We don't do extreme stuffs tgt, neither do we really ever have to keep our dates lively and fun by playing all kinds of different stuffs(bowling, plating, iceskating, or whatever-ing etc) or visiting all kinds of exciting places.. In fact, we normally just meet up for meals. Yet, having her as my company is never anything near boring. &she's one friend you can never get enough of ;) We can walk away with good memories even just after having a simple dinner tgt at a simple place. That's why I love her so. Then again, I never have simple dinners with her. Cause every dinner we have turns out special :)
