I went for a 5 km jog with my dad just now.
.
My stamina weakened a little cause I haven't really been jogging, and I had bad stitches during the run. I just didn't wanna stop. Not just yet. I was running pretty slow though.
.
What really warmed my heart was the fact that...
My dad who was running ahead of me slowed down and jogged on the spot and waited for me to catch up with him. He didn't leave me on my own :)
.
As we jogged, my dad accidentally stepped into a hole or something and kinda fell. I got a shock. I immediately asked him if he needed to rest. He gritted in pain a bit, limped... and continued running. Wow.
.
He jogged through the 5km. At the end of it he told me, "The pain was so sharp, I thought I was going to faint"
.
My dad's undying perserverance is always something I look up to.
I love my dad. What a role model he is. To not give up even if you've fallen.

1) Mannings. Looks familiar? :D Exactly the same as a brand in Singapore? Heh.

First thing we saw when we turned on the tv in the hotel room! Isn't it cool to have a message just for you when you turn on the tv!!

Anyway Ms Tan here ain't Gwendolyn Tan. It's my Mom. HAHA :D

The toilet! My gosh. Yes, I know it's the ladies. One sign is enough. You don't need 3?

Hehe. The moment I touched down in HK, I realized.... My shoe had a hole and my little toe was protruding out of my shoe. :$

Oh my gosh, this was shocking. Saw this outside a Citibank in HK. This couple was having a strike or something against Citibank. They hung banners which condemned Citibank. What made things worse was they offered joss sticks at the front door of that Citibank. Huh? :S It reminded me of the show Drag Me To Hell. Haha, if you get what I mean.. How the bank refused to meet the old lady's needs, and how she cast a curse on the banker.

The authorities didn't do anyth about this situation though. My mom said cause there's freedom of speech in HK :S
&the Hongkies don't seem a tat bothered by it.
.
Something we don't see in Singapore. Thank God!

Oh yes, I want to show you all my latest food obsession and addiction which happened in HK:

(a) Mango with Tofu Pudding

(b) Mango wrapped in gluttinous rice roll

(c) The left is the Ultra mango dessert, while the right is Mango sago with extra mango

Lol, I wish I could show you more of the mango stuffs I've eaten, but I forgot to take pictures of the rest. Well, I ate Mango mochi and Mango pomelo sago with mango icecream as well..

I drank mango and kiwi smoothie and mango yoghurt drink too!

.

My family was astounded by my mango addiction. Haha!

And, oh those calories I've gained from all those desserts!

Well, it's a holiday after all!! :D

I am back from Hongkong! It was a great trip :)
My vacation was all about two things - shopping & eating
I shopped really quite a lot, and ate a lot.

Let me introduce to you some parts of HK :
Majority of the streets in HK are like that. Dominated by shops. How to not shop a lot?
.

Lan Kwai Fong. Many many pubs.
.

Don't ya see a lot of these florist shops in HK dramas? It's like HK dramas coming to life! Super cool.
.

HK is really big. The MTR stations I went to is the size of our Dhoby Gaut MRT station or bigger. Can you imagine? It killed my legs to walk from one MTR track to the other.
.

& HK is about yummy food. My heart thumps real fast when I see the various desserts they have. I get so excited! & I just, eat my heart out :)
.
To sum it all up, HK was really enjoyable.
Especially with great company. Like my family.
I believe we did enjoy each other's company so very much.
& I realized how much I love my family :)
.
Looking forward to my next vacation!

2. Went back to school for PW.
It was okay...

3. Headed down to church for SOS bible study.
It was a superbly blessed time. I wouldn't want to exchange it for anything else.
The word was great and revelational.
But more than that, I experienced God's genuine and special love towards me..
Thank You for reaching out to me & giving me so many chances. :}
He also dealt with a major issue in my life. It brought me to tears.
No wonder.. No wonder... Before this, when I read the bible, I unknowingly focus on the part about the chastening of God's children :O cool.

My weekends til today were great :)

1. Saturday I had PW meeting, went with Shufen for JW celebrity service, then sent my dad off at the airport as he was flying off to China for a business trip!

2. Sunday was service, then steamboat @ Bugis, followed by being at a wake. And then, Drag Me To Hell @ JP.
Ohmygoshxzxz, I nearly died during the movie. Watching it at night totally didn't help. Watching with one who screamed so long-ly didn't help either. Having the popcorn taken away from me all the time didn't help too!!! Ha! But seriously, though quite hilarious at various parts, I thought the show was really scary. I'm just not the horror flicks kinda person.
.
3. Monday I had a most fun day at MS with bffy. Bought a zara top with her, watched another movie, and ate too much of pizzas. To sum the day up, I spent hundred dollars today. :( :( :( Out of the 100, about 20 dollars was super unjustified. I don't even wanna talk about it ;( Gonna get my new phone on Wednesday!
.
Anyway celebrity weekend service at church was really awesomexz and inspiring :) Was so blessed! Had a great great time and I love it :)
I met many new friends too, hope to see them join us so very often and regularly ;D
.
To end the post, my resolutions for the rest of my holidays:
(a) Finish up ALL my holiday homework
(b) Not to take cab anymore? :D [unless no bus]
(c) Start doing some revision

Cause they're practically all spoilt. SIGH.

I realized, as time goes by, I'm a very 'affirmation' kinda person.
I give affirmation, and I definitely need affirmation.
A word of affirmation can make me smile heartily,
and brighten my mood.
A word of affirmation does help me be more sure of myself.
A simple 'I love you' or 'I miss you' can lift my brows so very much.

It wasn't physically all comfortable, but it was definitely spiritually all worth it!

Finally did my long-awaited manicure. In my favourite color. I'm a very happy girl!

3) I am eating Kimchi fried rice & deepfried chicken wings, at 1:22 am.
Justified okay.

4) Went to the money changer..
For the third time in 2 weeks. OMG GWEN.

5) Felt a burden in my heart while praying.
It is sad, how many a times we can treat what God meant to be important and valuable in our lives as common. Simple things like praying, rising up, seeking God, spiritual hunger... The basics.
God teach us to esteem what You esteem.

6) I think it was rather obvious Emy & I did manicure. How we refused to pick up coins that dropped, hold the drink we ordered, take out money from bag. o.o

7) I did probably 2/8 of my chinese compo today
And I feel quite accomplished :X

8) Online shopped for more than 3 hours!!!
I don't usually like online shopping. The online shop I went was too impressive to me that I knew I had to buy something from there. But the procedure was too confusing, til I took hours to know what I was doing. But still, I realized I got the concept wrong.

9) Only slept for about 4 hours

10) Drank Double Vanilla Tea Latte at Coffeebean after morning PM.

Week Of Prayer

It's my church's week of prayer once again! :) During this week of prayer, we have morning prayer meetings from 7am to 8am at 3 different locations. I'm going for the JW one this entire week. So glad I'm finally given the chance to attend a whole week of morning prayer meetings. It usually clashes with my school etc. I'm looking forward to a time where I can really seek God's face and be energized in His presence through prayer. It's breakthrough time!!
.
However, the only issue is, can I sustain through an entire week of waking-up-at-530? I don't even wake up this early for school! And my whole body clock is altered during the holidays. I usually sleep only at 4 am now o.o Hahaha. God, please give me strength!
.
You know, it's 3 am now. I've to leave home in 2.5 hours for my first morning pm of the week. I sure do not want to miss this first prayer meeting out!
.
I'm excited, oh I am!

Today's a touchrug-filled day;
Had touch rug lunch, touch rug interview, touch rug training, touch rug dinner.
Haha! Well, ended my day out with my family.
I went to find them at Railmall's Coffee Bean after my dinner. Had a very good drink- Malibu Dream.
After that, we went Holland V for Frolicks, and late night grocery shopping :}

Today's a pretty good day :D

Tomorrow will be yet another packed day.
It's my parents' 24th wedding anniversary tomorrow anyway!

First Day Of Holidays

I had a wonderful start of my holidays,
doing what I've been pretty much craving to do - Cycling.
& with one of the best company I can ever have - Poh Feng.

My day started off with me going to school for PW. Had a bit of breakfast, then pizza treat from Mr Soh :D heh.
.
Thereafter, went home to get changed & met Em & then we set off to ECP.
Cycled & chilled at Coffee Bean.
ECP & that coffee bean bring back many sweet memories of my childhood - how my mom used to bring me there :)
I love my mom!

We proceeded to BPP for dinner.
& home sweet home for me!

I'm so thankful for holidays,
